Doctor Prescribed Levlen Contraceptive Pills. Can I Start Off With The Pills And Delay The Periods?

Hi, i just got a prescription for Levlen contraceptive pills and I was just curious to know as the doctor i saw did not tell me much as she said its up to me how i decide to take it and when to take it etc. I
am going away for a holiday end of this week and I am due for my period this week too (not sure exact day but should be anywhere between today and the end of this week.), I know that if you skip the white sugar pills you do not bleed and i really don't want to bleed whilst I am on my holiday this weekend so i was wondering when i start taking the levlen pills can i just start taking them tomorrow once i buy them even if i don't have my period yet and can i just start on the pink pills and skip the sugar/white ones straight away so that way I won't have my period or bleed straight away?

Starting the pill right now will not help in delaying the period. It can make your period irregular. It is best to have your period and start the pill as soon as your period is over.
