Does Amiodarone Cause Headache And Eye Pain?

Because some side effects as headache and dificuty on sleep, my Cardiologo told me to stop taking it 3 days ago and start taking Multaq but I am having a pain in my right eye and headache since then. Is that normal ? If it is caused by Amioradone for how long will I have these pains, I took Amiodarone only for 10 days

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if Amiodarone cause headache and eye pain . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons like migraine , glaucoma or optic neuritis. The symptoms can also occur due to side effects of medicine like Amiodarone , which is a class III antiarrhythmic agent used for various types of cardiac dysrhythmias , so consult your cardiologist .I would suggest you to consult ophthalmologist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan along with checking occular pressure along with taking history . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist to rule out migraine or any tumor . Doctor may prescribe diuretics , betablockers , anti inflammatory or eye drops . For now take proper rest , get yout eye site checked and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
