Does Amoxapine Interfere With Synthyroid And Losartan?

Yes, I am currently taking Synthroid as I have no Thyroid, I am also taking Losartan for High BP and Progesterone as well as Estrace Vaginal cream, should I be concerned about any drug interactions while taking Amoxapine? I am also trying to lose weight and am concerned this drug will interfere with that and I really need to lose weight but have a very hard time doing so even though I eat a very good diet. I just started taking this medication about 1 and 1/2 weeks ago. I take it @ night.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are no known interactions between amoxapine, synthroid , progesterone and losartan.
Since estrace is applied locally, there should be minimal systemic involvement and interactions.

Weight gain is an uncommon side effect of the amoxapine, you may not have this effect.
Medications cause weight gain by affecting appetite, fullness, activity and metabolism.
By monitoring your diet (if appetite increases) and increasing activity, you may be able to combat any effect

I hope this helps
