Does Amoxicillin And Clavulanatev Reduce Pain And Swelling Caused By Cracked Tooth?

I have a cracked tooth lower L jaw, yesterday morning I woke up with severe pain and swelling. Also experiencing lower lip numbness, havw been taking Ibuprofen and Tylenol. Today the swelling has doubled, pain and numbness in my lip is excruciating. I have no dental insurance and was wondering if I could take Amox Clav 875mg to alleviate some of the symptoms?

Amox Clav as you know is an antibiotic. It will not treat the pain but it will reduce any infection of your tooth. If infection is the cause of your tooth pain, then it might help. If not pain killers are the only option and then seeing your dentist if the pain persists or gets worse. Good day and take care.
