Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is it possible for Anastrezole to cause pressure headaches? Have been having them off and on for a few months. Most of the pressure is at the base of the back of the head, but head pressure also. Like you have a bathing cap on. Have been on this drug since June 2016. Thank you.
What are you taking Anastrozole for? Every medication that we put in our body can and will cause side effects. Since Anastrazole works with hormones in our bodies most of the side effects will be related to that. Things like acne and osteoporosis are common side effects of Anastrazole. Another thing that makes me think these headaches are not a side effect of the medication is that you have been on the medication for a long time before the headaches started. You should continue taking your Anastrozole as your doctor has prescribed it and ask him/her to exam your head and neck. The headaches are not likely related to the medication.
