Does BP Medication Cause Elevated Creatinine Level In Blood?
i have a client, age 67, male, who has just had labs completed for life insurance.
his creatine level is 1.8 & the underwriter tells me that he should be at 1.8 or belo.
his GFR is 40 7 the underwriter tells me that it should be 60 or above.
he is on high blood pressure meds, which i just read affect GFR levels.
do they also affect Creatine levels?
he tales Losartin, 100mg daily.he also takes a low dose aspirin & simvastin preventatively 3x per week.
He had a mild stroke 6 years ago with no residuals or recurrences.
