Does BPPV Cause Dizziness And Tremors In The Legs?
My wife who is 63 has been diagnosed by an ENT to have BPPV. That was about a month ago. With the therapy he gave her, she experienced some improvement. However, the dizziness still comes sometimes triggered by movement, sometimes, just by a touch to the face or head area. She also is experiencing tremors in her hands and or legs. Today she had to stop writing and wait for the tremor to pass before she could continue. Also, not safe for her to drive now for more than a month. Question - are these both signs of BPPV or could it be something else? Today she had an MRI and we are awaiting results.
BPPV-benign paroxysmal positional vertigo is as the name suggests a condition where vertigo (feeling as though person or environment spinning) occurs in certain head positions for a short period of time, intermittently.
Tremor is not a symptom that is usually associated with BPPV.
The MRI would show if there is a structural cause for her symptoms.
She may also want to consider seeing a neurologist for assessment.
I hope this helps
