Does Benadryl Intake While Suffering From Bi-polar Disorder Cause Hallucinations?

My sister is 56 years old she is manic depressive bi-polar. She just went through a long drawn out divorce and as a result lost her medical insurance. She has started seeing the Department of Human Services doctors. She has taken the drug klonipan for years. The Human Resource doctor has lowered her dosage and now started increasing it again. Over the weekend my sister has started hallucinating and making absolutely no sense when talking. Yesterday she took Benadryl for congestion Would the Benadryl cause the hallucinations?

benadryl is not the drug for bipolar disorder. benadryl is an antihistaminic.consult clinical psychologist for counseling and on his recommendation can consult psychiatrist way the drug will not cause hallucination.
