Does Cataplex F Cause Leg Cramps?

Thank you. OK. In winter time my feet are extremely cold and hard to get warm...needing wool socks, heating pads or shoes with fur...get better if I am exercising. I am losing my hair...more at top but thin all over. I ve been on bioidentical hormone replacement therapy by pellets for about 5 years. I am assuming it is related. I phoned the doctor but no call back yet. I take progesterone by pill to balance the estrogen. I also take cataplex F which has a little bit of iodine in it ...I used to get cramps in leg/foot and this helped immediately. Can it be the iodine? I do not use regular table salt at all...I use himalayan sea salt to cook. No other health issues. I am 56, female, 5 foot tall 115 - 120 lbs, all blood work normal. BP 110/70. Four grown children, married. Good energy. Work as care coordinator nurse. Stress lately and for the past 7 years...husband work issues, son SA issue but sober 4 years, doing great. I recently was laid off from job and job hunting, getting offers, etc. Any advice?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my clinical experience, the cataplex f is not responsible for leg cramps.
* There can be possible deficiency of trace elements as zinc, magnesium or others responsible for the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
