Does Celexa Cause Weight Gain?

I have just been prescribed Celexa. Now that I am home and researching it, I am afraid I might gain weight on it? I currently over eat due to depression and anxiety, but do work out 3-4 times/week. Will I gain weight on this medication? My wedding is in 3.5 months.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Some medications can cause weight gain. They can do this by changing appetite, activity level or metabolism.

If you continue to exercise and use foods that would not be associated with significant weight gain then it is not likely that any gain would occur.

I hope this helps
