Does Cerazette Contraceptive Pill Cause Vaginal Spotting And Mood Swings?
Hi I have been taking the cerezatte contraception pill fit about 4.5 months. I have had side effects including spots, no periods other than bleeding this last week. My mood seems to be low and I keep crying for no reason and am extremely over sensitive about everything. Could it be the pill doing this. I m also just wanting to eat all the time and craving food which is unlike me. I stopped taking it last night, after reading negative experiences of the same kind from people online. How long will it take to leav my system?
It is very common for contraception to cause spotting and mood swings. Some patients are more sensitive to their effect that others. As you stopped them last night, these side effects should stop in the next few days to a couple of weeks and you should feel fine soon. Please be mindful that you need another way of contraception for pregnancy prevention as you are stopping the oral contraception.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
