I am being treated for Diverticulitis and am taking Cipro 750 x a day and Flaggel, I noticed that my stomach started burning while I was sleeping. I took 2 Roland s for the burning, but am afraid that I now developed a ulcer from worrying. There are family issues going on and am concern I now have a ulcer? Is it possible, or is it the Diverticulitis with yet another new symptom?
You might be having gastritis or acid peptic disease. You need to follow some lifestyle tips 1. Do not eat spicy food. 2. Take medications for gastritis- Pantop or Omez or Rantac. 3. Take little food at frequent intervals. Breakfast around 8 am, a small snack at 11 am, lunch at 1 pm, a small snack at 4 pm and dinner at 8 pm. 4. Drink plenty of water. 5. Do not smoke, take alcohol or tobacco and even excess of coffee and tea. 6. Do not take much stress. Stress aggravates gastritis. 7. Do regular exercise. At least half an hour per day. 8. Learn meditation techniques. 9. Follow this regularly for 21 days. It said that anything you practice regularly for 21 days becomes a habit.
