Does Ciprofloxacin Affect The Efficacy Of Postinor 2?

Hi,have being taking ciprofloxasin for the past for four days,because am currently treating infection but had unprotected sex,i took postinor 2,twice in 2days,can i still continue with the ciprofloxasin for the infection treatment and what is my chance of getting pragnant??

Hello,

Ciprofloxacin does not reduce the efficacy of Positnor-2. Antibiotic Ciprofloxacin does not appear to alter the contraceptive effect of Positnor-2 (Levonorgestrel) when taken with the Positnor-2.

You can continue taking Ciprofloxacin as prescribed by your doctor as it does not reduce the efficacy of Positnor-2 and hence there is no chance of pregnancy.
