Does Codeine Causes Dehydration?

i had surgery twice in two years i dislocated and smashed my right humaros the spelling will be wrong. i was taking codein then stopped i started taking co codamol again i cant pass water. my dad had prostate cancer but i think i am dehydrated from codein it dries you out thats why movicol is forced on at hospital i will see my gp tomorrow but i am conerned my mum is in hospital with cancer to i am aware now i just want to go but i cant. email is YYYY@YYYY pls try and get back to me if you cant dont worry about it
