Hello,
Excessive weight gain needs to be reduced immediately through diet, exercise and other assistance. Induction of a period can be tried with hormone therapy; weight reduction usually aids in it. Osteoporosis, though rare, can happen after prolonged hormone treatment of more than two years and in those with associated risk factors like family history, chronic alcohol or tobacco use. Concomitant use of vitamin D and calcium is a necessity in those on the depo-shot to prevent reduction of mineral density of bones. Please get proper nutritive care. Hope this helps.
