Does Dettol Cause Allergic Reaction?

I had an accident recently and have been cleaning my wounds with dettol and hot water. Unfortunately I have now got a very itchy rash on my right hand and on the effected areas which makes me think I might have an allergic reaction to dettol. Have you heard of this before? Any suggestion to what I can clean the wounds with other than Dettol? Many thanks, Sascha
