Does Dexilant Cause Round Bumps And Cuts On Tongue With Burning Sensation?

I am a female my tongue tends to have round bumps on it or cuts and a slight burning sensation with a minty taste in my mouth. I have acid re flux and recently had two polyps removed. I was told to use Dexilant 30 mg two in the morning and one at night. Can I be having side affects from a drug that I am taking? I take Zopiclone 7.5 mg for sleep. Ranitdine at night. Synthroid. Recently Dulcolax laxatif 5mg.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that round bumps on tongue or cuts with a burning sensation seems most to be Apthous Stomatitis and the most common causes for it can be side effects of any of the medication that you are taking while other causes can be deificency of iron and vitamin B12, stress, acid reflux, dry mouth, physical trauma etc..
I would suggest you to start gargling with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine especially before meals to relieve pain and discomfort..
You can also do warm saline gargles and gargle with 1:1 solution of benadryl and milk of magnesia..
You can take a multivitamin tablet daily..
Suck ice and do cool water rinses..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Maintain a good oral hygiene..
In case of no improvement in a week consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
