Does Diane Cause Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding?

Hello Doctor I m a 30 year old female. I was suffering from PCOS from many years.. I was put on Novelon for initial years at the age of 22-23. POst getting married at 30, i continued to get irregular and heavy, cloty periods as well as in one or two cycles light bleeding extended for 15days. I was put on diane 35 for 4 months. From 5th month ive stopped. One thing i notice is that during the course of Diane 35 on the 3rd day my period bleeding used to stop by 5th day completely. Having stopped Diane bleeding continues for 5thday also. Is this normal?My weight is in control around 51kgs with 5ft height. Is

All birth control medications, including Diane-35, can cause a decrease intensity and duration of the period.

When the medication is discontinued, the period can last a longer period of time. This does not occur in all persons but it is a possibility.
