Does Duphaston Cause Delayed Periods?

Hi doctor I had my IUI on 12th day of my cycle(28th February) and I started taking duphaston 10mg for 10days(twice a day)..my LMP date is 17 but I didn t get my period still(2days late)...does duphaston delay my period?...if not when can I take a pregnancy test..?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Minimum time to exposure of endometrium needed. After discontinuation of the drug within two to three days, you will get the cycle.

The absence of periods or withdrawal bleeding after Duphaston drug use can at times suggest the possibility of pregnancy as suggested by other symptoms like altered bleeding.

Please get the urine pregnancy test done and if negative, do the follow up every second day. Also, consult your gynecologist so that she will examine and treat you accordingly.
