Does Duphaston Have Any Side Effects If Taken During Pregnancy?

Hi.. I am 20 weeks pregnant and in my 17th week i had painless bleeding. Doctr told i hav posterior placenta and 1.6 cm away frm internal os.. I am advised to hav duphaston 10 mg for next 2 months and prolution depot 500 mg weekly.. Only once i had bleeding.. Is it needed to hav this tablet and injection? Is there any sideeffects with these medicines?

Hi I think there is no side effect of duphaston or proluton injection. So, you can continue taking it. These are given to avoid preterm labour and maintain uterine quiscence. As your placenta is low lying, the most important thing for you is to have complete bed rest. Hope it helps.
