Does Ecosprin Prevent Blood Thickening?
Sir, my age is 45. one of my friends told , our blood becoms thick with age. to make it thin and as a preventive medicine he advised me to take ecosprin daily.He has been using the same for 4 years. My B.P and lipid levels are normal .Let me know how far his advise is true.

Ecosprin is basically Aspirin,which inhibits platelets aggregation and there by prevents clot formation.Not everyone should take it.Those who have established heart disease or stroke or those with high risk of getting it should start it and continue it life long.since it prevents clotting we explain to common man that it keeps blood thin!
In your case apparently there is no indication of ecosprin.

Welcome to HCM, I have gone through you query and understood your concerns, Ecosprin ( acetyl salicylic acid)is a non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug effective in treating fever,pain and inflammation in the body also reduces the function of platelets and the ability of blood to clot.
This antithrombotic effects is used for preventing heart attacks and strokes, the usual doses recommend include 75 mg daily( should be taken with food)
You should use it with caution if you have gastrointestinal ulcers or stomach bleeding, if you have a known allergy or are taking other medicines a doctor should be consulted to prevent probable interactions
