General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Effexor does not seem to cause noise in the ears (tinnitus). It may cause other symptoms like dizziness and nausea but tinnitus is not common.

Because your symptoms are only for a few days very likely they are due to a viral infection and it will fade away in a week.
If you notice no improvement in a week or you notice any worsening please contact your doctor.

I hope I have answered to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,

Antoneta Zotaj
