Does Eliquis Cause Elevated Blood Pressure Levels And Weight Gain?

I was on Plavix, had a heart ablation, they stop Plavix and put me on Eliquis. Since then me blood pressure is very high and not steady at all. Also have gained 15lbs. how concered should I be? They took my lisinipril from5 mg to 10 mg and gave me clonidine to take if top number reach 170, but it is consist in the160 s. HELP

Hi,

Eliquis belongs to a class of drugs called factor Xa inhibitors, often also called blood thinners.

If you are experiencing high blood pressure levels, it is not due to eliquis.

You should see your primary care physician as there might be a need to change one of your blood pressure medicine.
