Does Ferrous Sulfate Iron Supplement Drops Cause Burning Sensation During Urination?

My 3yr old, 31lbs, had urinary reflex surgery, in the process we found she was extremely anemic. A Hematologist has put her on Ferrous Sulfate Iron Supplement drops (2mls 3xday). She complains that it hurts to urinate. Is there a connection between the drops and burning sensation while urinating?
