General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Fertyl (clomifene) which works like the female hormone estrogen and is commonly prescribed to induce egg production and release (ovulation) from the ovaries in women who are not able to ovulate due to certain medical conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome. It is therefore useful in getting you pregnant. Consult your doctor for the tests you are requesting like blood tests and an abdominal ultrasound to find out the underlying cause of infertility.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
