Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was prescribed Flexeril and just took the medication about 5 minutes ago. I held the pill in my mouth for a little longer than intended as I was putting my son to bed and it partially dissolved on my tongue before I swallowed it with a glass of water. My tongue is now numb and was wondering if this is due to the medication partially dissolving on my tongue
Yes, 1 to 3%may present with unpleasant taste or numbness. Don't keep the pill on the tongue and don't use the pill for longer duration. Numbness may recover in 24 hours, don't worry.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
