Does Fluconazole Help Treat Soreness In The Mouth?

I had an appendectomy on Sunday (five days ago) and am slowly getting better. However, I was given some heavy-duty antibiotics resulting in a vaginal yeast infection. It is normal for me to get these infections after antibiotics. I also ham having discomfort and soreness in my mouth along with some small white spots. It looks like thrush. My doctor has prescribed flucanozole for the vaginal infection. Will the flucanazole also help the Thrush?

Antibiotic intake in heavy dose can cause both oral and vaginal yeast infection..
So as you already have vaginal yeast infection, then there is a probability that white spots inside mouth and soreness can be due to yeast infection..
Fluconazole will help in reducing yeast infection in mouth also..
But first of all get evaluated by an oral physician and white spots can be small canker sores..
In case if it is thrush then along with Fluconazole, you can also be advised Nystatin mouthwash rinses, Clotrimazole lozenges and take plenty of Probiotics like Yogurt and Garlic..
