Does Forcan Causes Any Side Effects In Children?

Hi Sir, My 2 year daughter has white marks on face both sides and both hands. Doctor has told it is fungal infection and has given tablet forcan 150mg to be given half on alternative days for 2weeks. Sir, is this tablet safe for my child? Along with the tablet, Eumosome ointment is also applied. But the white marks has spread and increased in number after its application. Please advice on this.

Hi, what is the weight of your baby. Forcan can be given to 2-5 year baby in doses 8 mg/ kg single dose. So prescribed doses may exceed in frequency it was prescribed. Are the marks of recent origin. Try giving syp Albendazole 200 mg at night and apply cream candid.
