Does Gabapentin Cause Elevated Blood Pressure?

I currently take meds for high b/p and have recently been given gabapentin for back pain possibly associated with nerve. I have found that the dosage I am taking 100 mg 3x a day may be affecting my b/p. Have also been given meds for a chest and head cold; however, it is significantly better and am no longer taking these. Could the gabapentin cause spikes? According to seeing some of the side effects, it shows increased b/p as well as blurred vision, both of which I am experiencing. Thank you.
