Does Gabapentin Interfere With Acetaminophen?

Using the interaction checker I received conflicting answers. For the interaction gabapentin oral + hydrocodone-acetaminophen oral I was told in one entry that it could cause a serious interaction and I was advised to use a different combination. Two entries later, the exact same interaction is listed as a minor issue, interactin is unlikely, minor, or insignificant. Which is correct? This is extremely confusing!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern regarding the safety of the listed medications.

Gabapentin does not interfere with Acetaminophen.

However, taking Gabapentin together with Hydrocodone may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. It may also cause impairment in thinking, judgment, and motor coordination.

You should avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving swimming or operating hazardous machinery.

No other interactions were found between your selected drugs.
