Does Galact Powder Help In Producing Enough Breast Milk?

Hi I m a breastfeeding mom. Baby is 2 months old. Sometimes I feel am running short of milk. I m not using any formula, only mothers milk. Baby passes urine around 15 to 18 times. But, sometimes baby feels unsatisfied after feeds. I m already taking Lactare tablets. One of my friend suggested Galact powder will improve milk supply. Is this true ? Can I take Galact along with Lactare ? Will taking Galact have any side effects? Also, I was asked to stop Lactare after 2 to 3 weeks since baby s birth, but am afraid if supply will stop so i m continuing it still. Will it cause any problems?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Lactate and galact powder can be taken together, but these supplements are not scientifically proven to increase the breast milk production. I would ratherssuggest you to have high protein diet, have a lot of milk and milk products and take cumin seeds, all these are known to increase the breast milk supply.
