Does HCT Help In Controlling High Blood Pressure?
I am a 73 yr female with no medical problems except fluctuating BP My GP gave me a prescription for HCT 35 mgs. All day today BP normal and at 4 pm bang - high.... I have not taken the med yet - will this med control the BP or should I chance it? Thanks

You are taking drug HPT. It is phendimetrazine drug. It is sympathomimetic drug. It stimulate central nervous system leads to increase in heart rate, increase in blood pressure and decrease in appetite.
It is anoretic drug used in weight loss.
Drug is not used in patient with hypertension. So if you are suffering from pre existing hypertension then avoid the drug.
If your BP remains elevated then better to avoid the drug.
