Does Hydrocodone 5mg Intake Cause Severe Dizziness As A Side Effect?

Good morning, just wanted to check as I am waiting to hear back from prescribing doctor. I have a viral infection and am having a lot of pain as I fell down the stairs Friday HARD! One of the things he prescribed was hydrocodone 5mg and I am SO dizzy. Dizzy to the point I m having to hang on to walls when I walk. I don t know maybe I m just being a baby, but wanted to check

Hydrocodone is an opioid analgesic and antitussive medication. It is indicated for the relief of moderate to moderately severe pain.

The most frequently reported adverse reactions are lightheadedness, dizziness, sedation, nausea and vomiting.

What symptoms you are experiencing could be due to the side effect of intake of the medication.
