Does Hydrocortisone Acetate Suppository Act As A Blood Thinner?

my mom is having surgery next week (knee replacement). The doctors said to stop all medications that thin the blood. She has a prescription for hydrocortisone acetate suppositories for hemmorhoids. Does it thin the blood. She contacted the surgical team. They did not know. She called the doctor who prescribed it. They did not know. I looked it up online. It never mentioned anything about thinning the blood.

Hi
Thanks for choosing HCM for your query.

Hydrocortisone acetate suppository does not act as a blood thinner.

In the treatment of hemorrhoids, it is used to reduced the painful swellings.
Its action is mainly confined to the rectal mucosal lining, least likely to be absorbed on short term use and hence no systemic effects.

I hope your doubt is cleared.
Should you need more clarification, do not hesitate in sending your direct query or if convinced give the rating to the explanations given.

Wishing your mom a smooth and successful recovery from knee joint replacement surgery.
