Does I Pill Intake Delay Periods?

Hi well my fiancé and I had an condom read and decided to take the i-pill, her period started on 4 of October and she took the pill on 25th of October, will this cause her to delay her period or pre-pone it, since the wedding is on December 13th and she does not want to be on her period during the wedding are there safe and easy ways to control the cycle?

Hello,

I can understand your concern. Theee are three things that can happen here:

First is, she can get her periods according to normal cycles like on around 4th November and then 4th December. It will be finished by 9th December and she will be good for wedding.

Secondly, there are chances that i pill can change the menstrual cycle and she can get periods earlier than 4th November. That way also, there won't be any problem during wedding.

Lastly, if in any case, she does not get her periods by 9th December, she can start taking Norethisterone 5 mg (Primolut N) once a day from 10th December till as long as 17 days. She wont get periods while she will take it and she can expect periods after 2-3 days of stopping the medicine.
