Does Ibuprofen Cause Itchy Blisters On The Hands And Legs?

i just read that ibuprofen use can possibly cause a blister like rash. that it could cause SJS or TEN ... I have been taking ibuprofen pm for about a week now... and have unexplainable itchy blisters on the back of my legs and my belly and some on my hands... is it something I can treat with benedryl? will it go away now that I have stopped taking ibuprofen?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The blisters here after taking ibuprofen relate to the side effect of the drug itself.

My recommendations are:
-Do not take further doses of Ibuprofen medicine.
-Drink more liquids.
-Keep the parts dry and clean with the antiseptic liquid.
-Use of sprinkling dusting powder with Clotrimazole cream will help.
-Take Benadryl tablet as per the itching intensity.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
