Does Implanon Cause Nose Bleed And Irregular Menstruation?

I have had implanon for about 1 year now, I have not had a single period since getting it.

Yesterday I got 2 nose bleeds and then started getting a heavy period.

I am not sure if these are related or not? I have been working more than normal in the last week - long hours/days....Could this be the cause or is there a chance that the implanon has malfunctioned or stopped working??
