Does Kenalog Injection Give False Positive Test Result For Pregnancy?
Last month I received a Kenalog steroid injection for severe eczema on my hands and other parts of my body. This month I missed my period and had 2 positive pregnancy test. Is it possible that I am really not pregnant and the steroid just caused a missed period and false positive pregnancy test?

Urine pregnancy test finds a hormone named human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine. This hormone is secreted by uterus after implantation & cannot be positive after steroid therapy.
False positive test is rare & is present in some diseases of the liver, cancers, and other medical conditions that produce hCG.
So most probably you are pregnant, however you could confirm it by an ultrasound also.
