You started alcohol for funsake and now it is like "One for the road", one for the bath", one for the toilet, One for appetite, and at last "the eye opener". Let us leave the medication to do its part. A deed is the outcome of a thought. Put a prefix to the word "thought" like good or bad, the resultant "action" will also automatically have the prefix of "GOOD" or "BAD". Adding this condiment to your thoughts(The first step) is a prerogative of the self and will have reflection in the images of self and society.

Your instinctual drive says you to drink and merry, but your consciousness says you not to. For example,a man kills another human being only after killing his own consciousness. The same is the case with bad deeds.

As natural it be, the whole world has a tendency or leniency towards the negative pole. But we, as human beings, have been gifted with consciousness, which we rarely use. Try using the same for your progress.

A habit can be broken easily by breaking any of the link in the vicious cycle and feel happy about it and go further breaking the connections of the cycle.

Best of luck, you can do it. Efforts may fail, but continuous efforts never fail.
