Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
A person close to me experienced what to me looked like loss of muscle coordination and confusion, worsening to delirium and vertigo, which lasted for hours and began to slowly improve after vomiting. Could this have been due to an overdose of lorazepam? If not, what else might have been the cause, such as a neurologic or metabolic disorder.
Therapeutic dose does not cause such problems. Other possibilities like alcohol or substance withdrawal also be considered. Consult a psychiatrist for expert evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
