OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
Since she is inducing the abortion under the guidance of the specialist, there is no need to worry. I presume a trans-vaginal sonogram was done to locate the gestation sac and also to note the age of the pregnancy. If not, please get it done. Blood counts and urinalysis are also done routinely. There are some side effects for the medication such as vomiting, pain over the abdomen, headaches etc., which can sometimes be troublesome. If vomiting occurs soon after the intake of the pills, the dosage may need to be repeated. After the abortion is complete, follow up is to be done after two weeks coupled with a repeat sonogram. Hope this helps.
