Does Metanx Or Foltnax Have Less Side Effects?

I was taking metanx. Now my pharmacy sends me foltanx. Are the exactly the same? Also, I have had a rash around my nose and chin for the last few months. It comes and goes. Sometimes, it s just little spots of irregular size and sometimes the have tiny blisters in them. What could be the cause?

Incomplete data like age, gender and purpose of taking these medications?
Both the drugs are actually having same ingredients and can cause similar side effects.
Metanx and Foltnax contains Vitamin Folic acid (methylfolate), Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxal) & Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin).
These are neurotropic vitamins and used in neuropathy like diabetic neuropathy or other deficiency states or in hyperhomocysteinemia.
Foltanx is a generic version of Metanx having the same ingredients & the quantities as Metanx and known to cause similar allergic reaction in the form rash, itching or swelling of the lips which you seem to have developed.
Consult your treating physician to select an alternate but a safer multivitamin combination to treat your condition.
