This medication is an oral antidiabetic agent, prescribed for type 2 diabetes. It helps control blood sugar levels. Women with PCOS produce higher-than-normal amounts of male hormones. This hormone imbalance causes them to skip menstrual periods and makes it harder for them to get pregnant.

Overweight and insulin resistance is also seen in most patients. Metben contains metformin is a drug that reduces sugar levels by making insulin more sensitive for action. Weight reduction also reduces insulin resistance.Hormonal balance is restored thereby increasing the chance of pregnancy.

Apart from metben,ovulation induction drugs,FSH,HCG injections can also be added to your treatment to increase the success rate.
