my friend applied for a job and will be taking a drug screening. She told me her sister in law gave her something called Metformin (50mg)to lose weight ( she is a little over weight) ..will that show up in her drug test....she really needs to work and I told her even though its not street drugs ...it may show up

Hello,

Metformin is universally prescribed drug used to treat diabetes. It won’t be tested in any drug test and the presence of metformin is not problem in any of the tests.
