Does Microgynon Cause A Foul Smelling Odor?

Hi, I m on Microgynon birth control pill. I realize that everytime I get to the last couple of cream pills, say the 4th last pill before the red pills, in the pack the smell of my discharge changes to a horrible smell. After I take the red pills and my period starts the smell goes away. Is this a normal side effect of Microgynon? Is there something I can do or something I can take to stop this smell? Should I change the pill altogether?

Hi,

It can be vaginal infection like thrush or bacterial vaginosis.

You can go for a vaginal swab to make a diagnosis.

As of now, you can use Clotrimazole lotion to cleanse your genital area.
