Does Mirena IUD Cause Missed Menstrual Cycle?

Hi, I m having a issue. I have had the Mirena IUD for a little over a year now, I haven t had a single period since I have got it. I do get common yeast infections and uti but recently I have been having tiny pieces of tissue coming out with old looking blood, sex is also very painful for me I have been tested for stds before but they all came back negative. I dont know what is going on and any help would be very appreciated

Hello,

Mirena can decrease menstrual bleeding after three or more months of use. About 20 percent of women stop having periods after one year of using Mirena.  Your missed periods are common after almost one year of using Mirena.
