Does Mirena Coil Give Rise To Clots And Pain Even If It Is In The Right Place ?
i ve had a mirena coil fitted for about 3 years. Following a smear test where the threads became entangled, my threads are missing. I had an ultrasound and they found the coil saying it was in the right place, but I am having very painful, large clot discharges, which are particularly heavy while trampolining? What are my options and why do I have so many clots and problems now if the coil is in the right place ?
Hi,
Heavy bleeding with clots is a side effect of IUDd but it shouldnt happen contionously. You device might be inside but may have been embedded.I suggest you have it taken out and get a new one inserted.
