Does Mobizox Have Any Effect On Lactation?

Hi, my wife had a LSCS for my second child. The hospital gave a spinal anasthesia. Post operation, she has developed a sharp pain at the back of her head. The pain will start from the point where the spine connects the head and will radiate all the way up to the centre of her head. She gets this pain only while she is sleeping (not while standing or walking or sitting). Although the first time she got the pain was while feeding the kid. The gynec had prescibed Mobizox as a replacement for Combiflam. She is currently in this medication. Will it hamper lactation or will it cause any issue to our new born?

Hi & Welcome.

It does not affect the lactation or the suckling baby.

Based on the history given your wife seems to have developed post-spinal headache.

She can take Mobizox as prescribed by her gynecologist. It does not affect the milk secretion or the quality of the milk and also has no harmful effect on the baby.

Along with the the medicine she also needs bed rest preferably in supine position and plenty of oral fluids to maintain adequate hydration.
