General & Family Physician 's  Response
Morr F contains minoxidil and finasteride which are recommended for treatment of hair fall (male pattern baldness). Morr F promotes hair growth but effect is seen after 4 - 6 months of use. Its common side effects are burning or irritation of the eye, itching, redness or irritation at the treated area and unwanted hair growth elsewhere on the body. Previously minoxidil was used to hypertension also. But due to availability of better anti – hypertensives, it is not used as anti – hypertensive now a days.
Finasteride causes sexual dysfunction when used orally in high dose. This side effect is not seen when used topically. Also this side effect is seen in early stage of treatment and usually resolves with progress of time even if you continue taking it. Morr F does not cause any effect on heart.
Advice
1.     Morr F 5% lotion – apply locally in scalp1 mL twice daily for 4 months
2.     Capsule Revital – 1 capsule per oral daily for 3 months
3.     High protein and vitamin rich diet such as eggs, meat, vegetables, cheese etc.
4.     Do not take much tension as anxiety/depression aggravates hair loss
Thanks
