Does Neomercazole Have Side Effects On Long Run?

is there danger in using neomercazole over long period of time? I have been on 5mg (one tablet) a day for the past 5 years and my tyroid results are normal except for the antibodies which are still slightly elevated. Is it possible to continue with neomercazole over many years instead of having a surgery?
